Student Poster Contest

The APRU Global Health Program is organizing the 12th Annual Student Poster Contest in conjunction with the APRU Global Health Conference 2026.

Eligibility

  • Current full-time undergraduate and graduate students from any university are eligible.
  • Post-doctoral researchers are not eligible.
  • Students must submit the final poster, along with a separate written abstract of up to 400 words about the poster.
  • The poster must be related to global health.
  • Collaborative poster presentations are acceptable; however, the student must be the first author. Please indicate if the poster is being submitted by more than one student.
  • Only one submission per student (as first author).

Poster Submission and Presentation

  • All eligible student poster submissions will be automatically ‘accepted’ for the conference. They will be displayed virtually at the conference even if the students cannot attend in person. Attendance at the conference is not required. Registration for the conference is required for in-person attendance only.
  • Students can also submit another abstract (not the one submitted to the Student Poster Contest) to the regular conference abstract submission (for consideration for an in-person oral presentation).
  • By submitting, students agree to have their posters included in the conference programme, displayed at the conference, and on the APRU website.
  • Student Poster Contest abstracts will be published in the Journal of Public Health and Emergency.
  • The top three finalists in each category (undergraduate and graduate) will be notified by 31 August 2026. Top prizes will be announced during the conference.
  • A prize of US$ 500 will be awarded to the best undergraduate poster and the best graduate poster (one in each category). Second place winners will receive US$300, and third place winners will receive US$200. All awardees will also receive certificates of award.
