Prof. Vivian Lin
Honorary Professor, The University of Hong Kong; Visiting Professor, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; and Adjunct Professor, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and La Trobe University
Biography

Prof. Vivian Lin is Honorary Professor at The University of Hong Kong, visiting professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Adjunct Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and at La Trobe University, Melbourne.  She was Executive Associate Dean, LKS Faculty of Medicine, and Professor of Public Health Practice at the University of Hong Kong between 2019 and 2024.  Prior to that, she served as Director of Health Systems for the World Health Organization in the Western Pacific Region from 2013-2018.

Her longstanding career in Australia includes being Chair of Public Health at La Trobe University (2000-2013) and inaugural Executive Officer of the Australian National Public Health Partnership (1996-2000), along with a range of appointments to government, professional, and community organizations. Prof. Vivian Lin continues to be engaged with global health through involvement with the WHO at regional and global levels, several Lancet Commissions, as a trustee for the China Medical Board, and editorial board roles for a range of journals.  Prof. Lin earned her BA from Yale University and her MPH and DrPH from UC Berkeley.
