Ms. Shally Fan is Director of Academic Links (Global) at CUHK, where she drives the University’s global engagement efforts in research and education. She is responsible for international teaching and research partnerships, strategic alliances and networks, collaborative agreements, and student and faculty mobility programmes, contributing to CUHK’s global visibility and the international and intercultural experience of its community. With more than two decades of experience in international higher education, she has made significant contributions to global learning and the University’s international engagement.

She received her BA from The University of Adelaide and her MCom from the University of South Australia. Since joining CUHK’s Office of Academic Links in 2001 to manage the University’s student exchange programmes, she has broadened the scale and scope of global engagement initiatives for both faculty and students. Ms. Fan is a frequent speaker at international education forums and serves on the International Advisory Committee of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. She has also been elected to the ISEP Council of Advisors from July 2026. In addition, she organized the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition in 2013 and 2026, and served on the Association’s Board of Directors from December 2015 to June 2017.
